swollen face: There are lymph nodes present in-front, behind and below the ear, this may be the cause of the swelling. In addition, below the ear and the edge of the jaw are salival glands that sometimes get stones in their draining ducts and swell. A physical examination is required to accurately diagnose your problem; see your pcp or an ENT physician.
