not sure: People often feel tight when they have gas so i guess that's a possibility. Other things could be something else, possibly a hernia? Feel any lumps or bumps on your lower abdomen?

Something you ate: There are a number of causes of bloating, gas production and "tightness" in your abdomen. And yes, it can be very uncomfortable. I recommend evaluating certain foods in your diet, starting with dairy. Something as simple as lactose intolerance can cause these symptoms. Remember, not all dairy food can cause gas and bloating. If your symptoms persist, see your physician.

Reflux: Most like due to over production of stomach acid or gerd. In advanced cases ulcers can result. Stop nsaids if taking and try otc Prilosec or Pepcid (famotidine) . If it continues talk to your physician.
