Inflammation: Anterior tendon tenosynovitis means you have an inflamed sheath or covering of a tendon that crosses the front of your ankle. A good quality MRI would confirm the dx. If the inflammation continues or you sustain an injury which stresses this tendon it could then rupture.Uncommon though; posterior tibial tendon rupture much more common.
