Stop drinking: Alcohol, while people think it will make them feel good or 'high' or relaxed while drinking, is really a depressant. If you are already depressed, it can definitely make you feel worse. It can negate the action of antidepressants. If you were drinking while trying zoloft (sertraline) or the other antidepressants, that could be the reason they did not work for you. If you can't stop drinking yourself, get help!

Time to get help?: It sounds like you may want to talk about getting help with your primary care doctor. It may be a consideration to talk to someone who is in alcoholics anonymous about what you are going through to see what they think may be happening. I hope things can get better for you! no driving until well into the next day! stay safe!
