Possible: Dogs and cats may carry intestinal parasites which are transmittable to humans, but generally require the fecal-oral route, in which fecal matter from the animal gets into your mouth or food. Same is true for bacterial pathogens they may be carrying. Birds may carry ornithosis, but generally this is transmitted through the respiratory tract. Uncommon except in poultry farmers. Help clean up.
