I have really bad heartburn. i ran out of usual med prilosec. is there a home remedy that will relieve heartburn. tums (calcium carbonate) or rolaids didn't help at all.

Maalox: If your heartburn is relieved by Prilosec go to the store and get it. Then follow up with your doctor to find out the cause of such bothersome symptoms. If you have a great deal of anxiety or stress in your life you may need something for that as well as learning meditation and coping skills.
