HPV: I know of no physician, especially those serving women, who would ever wait till 30 to do a pap smear. The pap smear is the basic test for hpv related cervical changes. The only reliable test for hpv in a pap smear is fairly new called the hybrid hpv dna test and is offered at each pap smear. American medicine has no standard of care that would postpone this important test until thirty.
