Surveillance: It is simply good practice to follow your doctors advise & have your scheduled pap smears or other studies when recommended.The infection self heals but can hang around in hibernation forever, with the potential to trigger cancer at some point.You are young enough to benefit from the HPV9 vaccine, that would protect you from strains you don't have yet,but not treat what you have.
