A member asked:

Recently my doctor order an early cdt lung test as part of annual blood work that he screens. when the results were returned, is was positive for one?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asses risk: I just answered another one like this. The problem with the cdt is that a negative test is most likely negative when correlated with imaging. A positive test can be present in patients with negative imaging and it can be negative in people with positive imaging. The importance of the test right now is still unclear. Low radiation ct is better in people stratified by risk and symptoms.
