Immune System: If your 8 month old is up to date with all of his age appropriate vaccinations, it is ok to be around grandpa. Also make sure he has gotten seasonal flu vaccination, 2 doses at 1 month interval. Keep him away when he gets 12 months vaccine- mmrv, because this is live virus vaccine. Infants can get up to 6 viral illnesses in first year. If your son gets any fever, keep him away.
