Flipper question: Is it in an area for looks? If so you may want to wear to look good. If in a non looks area you may be able to not wear it. Either way just call your dentist and ask. You should be given a yes or no and a why.

Flipper: There are a few purposes of a flipper. One of them is for esthetics. However, the other purpose is to prevent the adjacent and opposing teeth from moving into the space once occupied by the missing tooth. Therefore it is very important that you wear it. Not wearing it can cause further unnecessary complications. Follow your dentist's directions.
