Methotrexate: Methotrexate has many complications. It can affect the lung, liver, and bone marrow. Initial period required close monitoring for bone marrow suppression, liver injury. Previously, this medication was recommended to have periodic liver biopsy to assure patients can handle it. Nowadays, some questioned this approach. With periodic lft (liver lab work) and ultrasound might be sufficed.
