Weaning of lexapro (escitalopram): Yes. You could try taking every other day for a week and then stop. 5mg is a very small dose.

It is serious risky : Don't stop Lexapro (escitalopram) abruptly - the withdrawal effects can be very unpleasant - even dangerous. Have a doctor monitor the quickest taper possible to stop safely. This is one of the big problems with ssris (there are more). But it is a bad one. Get guidance for quitting it doesn't have to take long. Good luck.
