I have a mildly deviated septum. can i get results from no surgery and just doing an in office turbinate coblation? basically skipping the septum fix.

Yes in certain cases: In-office turbinate reduction is an excellent option for improving nasal obstruction in certain patients with mild septal deviation. You would be a candidate if you have enlarged turbinates and you can breath better after using a topical decongestant or nasal steroid spray. It would be up to your surgeon to determine if you would benefit from septoplasty as well.

See below.: Even though septoplasty is a commonly performed procedure, it doesn't mean many people should have it done. I, personally believe that the majority of patients with breathing problems are going to benefit from turbinate reduction. So if your doc is in agreement, then go for it. Good luck.

Septum turbs: While anatomical abnormalities of the septum and turbunates contribute to nasal obstruction, treating hypertrophied turbinates does not correct a deviated septum. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified surgeon.
