Infection: You may have an infection in your gums. See a dentist as soon as you can for an exam and treatment. In the short term clean your teeth as well as you can, take ibuprophen if it is safe for you, rinse with warm salt water.

Probably bacterial infection, gum disease. But may also be allergic reaction, systemic disease, viral or fungal infection. Please see your General Dentist or a bone/gum specialist Periodontist.
