Gums ; Smoking: Is there any way that you can stop smoking, starting today? I'm glad that you added that smoking info in this question. You look like you already know smoking causes gum problems (actually bone, too!) much more likely than non-smokers. Constant inflammation make the blood toxic, and contribute early stroke and/or heart attack. Pain, dark spots on teeth--please see a dentist asap and stop smoking.
