Fracture callus : Can show up on x-ray once the callus begins to calcify or ossify , meaning it starts to turn or transition into bone. 0ne tens to see this process more readily in a younger immature patient with a fracture that is not in perfect alignment ( if you wanted an x-ray that showed callus i'd choose that for an example) and les liky in an adult with rigid internal fixation even though they both heal.
