Like liver!: A new blood clot will feel like a piece of uncooked liver. An old clot will feel (and look) like a piece of old cotton ball that has been stuck in your sink's drain for several months (kind of gross!). Hopefully, you won't have to find out what an old clot in the mouth tastes and smells like! hope this helps.
