that depends: If they are not causing symptoms, probably nothing should be done at this time. If they are very large or causing obstruction, a urologist should be consulted for possible extraction or lithotripsy. Also- you should consider seeing a urologist anyway to have a complete metabolic work-up to see why you form stones. There may be treatments available to reduce the formation of future stones.

depends on the size: It depends on how large the stones are. Very small stones should be able to pass without difficulty. Medium or large stones should probably be treated. If the stones are visible on a plain film xray, then eswl is a good option.. Very large stones may require a more invasive procedure. Either way, it is important to increase your daily water intake to 2.5 to 3 l.
