Is sibo overdiagnosed?

Yes and no: Sibo is a difficult diagnosis and can be attributed to many GI symptoms. The diagnosis is usually made by breath test or intubation of the small bowel and culture. So docs treat empirically without performing specific tests.

SIBO: In my opinion SIBO is over-self-diagnosed. It is very real, but it is odd how many people are self-diagnosing themselves with this that are actually suffering from another gut problem.
