Ativan (lorazepam) doses: Three milligrams of Ativan (lorazepam) is not a low dose, esp. for a 63 yo. If one takes that much Ativan (lorazepam) every day for at least one month, one could have some withdrawal symptoms when trying to stop. Ativan (lorazepam) can be and is addictive. There are other, safer treatments for insomnia. You should never take more than prescribed-NEVER. Having Ativan (lorazepam) without a prescription is a felony. Be very careful and good luck.
