Ativan (lorazepam): What does your prescription say? Ativan (lorazepam) is generally prescribed every 6 to 8 hours but you should take it as prescribed by your doctor!

Treat the cause: If you're requiring Ativan (lorazepam) more than prescribed perhaps consider that the underlying anxiety may not be fully well treated. In many cases, an anxiety preventive medication could be of use. Talk to your doctor!

Benzodiazapine.: Take no more often then prescribed - otherwise you are misusing the medication. Try non-psychopharmacological approaches to anxiety. Benzodiazapines don't treat the underlying causes - a medication like an SSRI can help correct underlying problems.
