Soft tissue mass: A bulge in the thigh muscle could be several things. A history of trauma would suggest a fluid or blood collection from the local trauma (hematoma/bruise). A partial muscle tear/injury could also cause a local bulge as the injured site becomes engorged with increased blood flow with activity (would resolve w/ rest. A soft tissue mass/tumor could also cause a bulge. Orthopaedic evaluation needed.
