Thick saliva: Hello. The saliva you are noticing might be thick and tenacious because it is dehydrated. In the cooler months after the heat gets turned on, we dehydrate the water from the mucus and saliva at a faster rate. Also dryness can be related to prescribed and otc medications. Drink more fluid, review your medications with your doctor or pharmacist and sleep with a humidifier. Good luck.
