Computed tomography : Can often detect abnormalities consistent with ovarian cancer, but a specific diagnosis with only imaging, except in rare circumstances, is ill advised. The analogy I use is that medical imaging is like showing a stranger a picture of your family reunion. They can distinguish young vs old, boy vs girl, etc, but won't be able to point to uncle bob or cousin sue. Diagnostic pathology is needed.
