Lacrimal plug: You should see an ophthalmologist who inserts punctal lacrimal plugs. This plug is easily inserted into the lower punctum under topical anesthetic drops. The plug stays there permanently and prevents normal tears from draining into the nose and throat. Thus the normal tears bathe the eye constantly. It is removed only if you rub your eye.

Dry eye: See a dry eye specialist to consider Restasis and punctal plugs. This may help your contact lens intolerance and dry eye symptoms.
