I've been taking 40mg of prilosec/day for the last 7 years. my heartburn is unbearable if i miss a dose. is there an alternative?

Get evaluated: Pls see a GI pecialist, you need to have an endoscopy to see if there are ulcers in your atomach, may need other tests to rule out other causes of your symptoms. 7 yrs is too long to bear that pain. Good luck.
