Implant Bone Loss: If you can see the threads on the implant, i would go back to the dentist for an evaluation. Yes, it could mean that the implant is failing.

How did you: Diagnose atrophy? What are your symptoms? Best to be evaluated by the doctor who placed the implant if possible otherwise another dentist who is familiar with implants. Hope this helps.
