Front tooth pain: Pain and swelling are indicative of an abcess. If that is the case, the tooth will need to have a root canal, or be extracted. See your dentist for an exam and x-rays to confirm any diagnosis. Don't delay. The longer you wait the more severe the infection will become.

Abscess ?: It certainly sounds like it. It can either be endodontic or periodontal in nature. Either way see a dentist ASAP before the swelling and pain becomes unbearable.

See a dentist ASAP: If you have a toothache, you may have a cavity, wisdom teeth or advanced gum disease. A tooth pain won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use NSAID OTC or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment.

See dentist ASAP: You do not mention if you have a history of trauma to that area. See your dentist ASAP to rule out decay, periodontal disease and trauma related injury which might incluide swelling and inflammation.
