Veneers: Lumineers are merely a brand name and no better or worse than the dentist fabricating them. It is a better approach to ask a dentist whom you trust what treatment is best for you and why, rather than trying to research this type of question on the internet.

Cost: If you're looking for the cheapest way, generally resin bonding veneers are more economical. However, resin/composite does stain and change color through time and they are not as durable as lab made, i.e. Lithium disilicate or bonded feldspathic veneers. Remember everything has pros and cons, so you may want to ask for benefits of veneers/lumineers, etc. Too.

Veneers: If is not done artistically right, your smile iwill look bad. See a good dentist. Check credentials, awards, experience, see pictures of their own patients( not professional models) that speaks volumes.

Surgery: To do veneers requires preparation of the surface of the tooth to accept the restoration. This is a surgical proceedure. And restorations do not last forever. Please also consider tooth movement which may eliminate the need for reshaping.

Disadvantages are: 1. Lumineers: limited esthetic correction, look bigger and possibly bulky, very few dentists offer Lumineers. 2. Veneers: not reversible treatment, expensive and technique sensitive. The best way to find out the type of veneers that are right for you, see your dentist.
