Weight: My position is that too many people are too heavy due to too much fat. You don't need any extra fat.

Opposite: Imho, i think that there is plenty evidence that exactly the opposite is true. Underweight (slight, not extreme, not in context with starvation/famine, diseases or anorexia of course) has proven beneficial enough in many studies; and associates better outcomes in multiple situations. But i might be wrong, it s just my impression after reading...A lot.

No debate: There is no evidence that as a general rule having extra weight is beneficial. There may be some debate in unusual medical circumstances such as critical illness of the effects on mortality of being mildly overweight, but this is not relevant to most people. In general the risk of disease is lowest for those people who maintain a normal body weight.
