Itchy outer ear: Hello. Using cold compresses to the ear will immediately help to reduce ear itching and redness. Using a steroid cream on a 2x/day for no longer than 14 days will help to resolve the itching. Also a medication like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will resolve the itching rather quickly.
