Very common: Very common to have pain in that area, especially during the computer age. Always ask for a chest x-ray just to be safe, but muscles and daily living are probably the issue.

Rhomboids: As long as more serious causes have been ruled out (such as no cardiac issues), then it often happens from rhomboid spasms. There may be other etiologies, but this is certainly one of the most common. If you work at a computer, check ergonomic correction of your workstation. Consider physical therapy, massage, trigger points, and if it doesn't get better, ask for an MRI to be safe.
