See doctor: It is always best to avoid any medication unless absolutely although I am unaware that an occasional intake of Codeine would cause fetal anomaly. I suggest however that you consult an allergist or neurologist on your headaches since there are few indications in taking opiates such as Codeine on a long term basis.

Not recommended: To be taking Codeine when u are trying or esp in the 1st trimester, it would be much better to try to get on meds for the allergies, meds like plain Claritin (loratadine) are safe but u should see your allergist and obgyn, it would be much better to try to prevent the ha then treat them with codeine.
