I have a cold at the moment and when i lay down my right ear makes a breathing / swirling noise it's very annoying what is it ?

Viral pressure: You may be having a couple of things. This could just be ear pressure from a virus that is causing you to be able to hear your heartbeat, whereas you normally wouldn't. You could also have a perforated eardrum giving you this sound, although that would have given you severe pain. For now, just take supportive meds like sudafed and advil (ibuprofen) and see if it resolves in a couple of days.
