Yes: Transient ischemic attacks (TIA) is not really a stroke it is transient neurological symptoms lasting less than 24 hours, lately diffusion MRI of the brain has shown that even in TIA structural lesions are sometimes seen at any rate these symptoms have to be taken very seriously! see a neurologist.

Multiple tia's: Yes, multiple tia's are definitely possible. Any transient ischemic attack (TIA) should be evaluated emergently to determine the source and help prevent the progression to a stroke. An abrupt onset of change in neurologic function....Numbness, tingling, weakness, double vision, difficulty speaking, etc should be evaluated in your closest emergency room or at a stroke center.
