Pain in upper left back when i take a deep breath. had x-ray, showing nothing. has been bothering me since mid july. any ideas?

Could be muscle pain: Possibilities include muscular pain or pleuritic pain (that is pain caused by inflammation of the lining inside the chest and the lining on the outside of the lungs). Unfortunately your symptoms can be difficult to diagnose definitively. A clear cxr is reassuring.
