O: Cholesterol deposits in the cornea (an arcus) do not fade with cholesterol reduction. Cholesterol does not coat retinal vessels. It can only be seen if the total cholesterol is over 1000 (lipemia retinalis) rarely a cholesterol plaque (hollenhort) can be visualized, but is usually an embolic phenomenon.
