There are a number : Of possible reasons for this. So, would just recommend an ear-nose-throat (ENT) evaluation to find out what it is. Take care.

Not likely: Throat cancer would be a much more common cause of throat clearing problems. You need a laryngoscopy. It is a two minute procedure. No anesthesia necessary. Even if you don't have cancer, your doctor may be able to help after laryngoscopy.
