There are a number : Of possible reasons for this. So, would just recommend an ear-nose-throat (ENT) evaluation to find out what it is. Take care.
Dr. Sameer Gupta
Medical Oncology 18 years experience
Probably not: Specially if going on for 2 years. Next step is ct chest if you have a persistent concern..
Dr. Joshua Garren
Radiation Oncology 24 years experience
Not likely: Throat cancer would be a much more common cause of throat clearing problems. You need a laryngoscopy. It is a two minute procedure. No anesthesia necessary. Even if you don't have cancer, your doctor may be able to help after laryngoscopy.
