Several things maybe: Vitamin d levels have been the subject of lots of discussion. No question it is more than just a vitamin as it has some almost hormone like effects in some body processes. The exact effects of low levels, especially for specific signs/symptoms are unclear. Some say bone pain, increased risk of infection, etc.It has been associated with increased risk of hip fracture though.2000 iu a day okay dose.
