Only supportive care: The reason varicose veins form is due to malfunctioning (refluxing) of the valves. Once this occurs the valves cannot be repaired or corrected. Closure procedures will solve the reflux. Supportive measures such as exercise, weight loss if necessary and support stockings will slow down the valve worsening process but will not reverse it. You should see a vein specialist for an evaluation.

No and yes. : You cannot strengthen the veins. You can augment them by using compression stockings regularly while awake. Elevate your legs whenever you can and walk regularly. Prolonged standing or sitting allows blood to pool in the legs.

Valves: Once broken always broken However symptoms are dependent on the gap caus d by weakened valves Use of support or compression stockings during daily activity will help with venous return and could stabilize issue Prolonged standing can weaken the valves so again stockings are beneficial
