Asbestosis : Is a scarring if the lungs due to chronic inhalation of asbestos fibers. Most common diagnosis is a restrictive lung disease with a diffuse interstitial fibrosis at the chest x ray with changes in vital capacity but normal or low normal fev1/fvc ratio. Asthma is no associated with the disease but if the patient smoke a degree of reactive airway disease can be present. Also ass. With mesothelioma.
