COPD: Chronic bronchitis is a form of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or copd. There is no cure but there are treatments to control symptoms. It is a slowly progressive disease. The most important thing you can do to slow the progression further is to quit smoking if you currently smoke. Your doctor can help with smoking cessation.
