Irritation: Alcohol is an irritant to the liver and pancreas as well as the stomach itself. If these organs are irritated enough they will cause pain in the abdomen and the back. Most people who drink overdo it. Only you can decide if you are an "alcoholic" but usually these people are unable to quit completely at will and/or regulate the amount they drink. Alcoholics anonymous is a reliable way to stay quit.
