A member asked:

I am being told not to breast feed for 64 hours after my nuclear stress. do i need to pump the milk out or will it cycle out?

Effective half life.: The time to wait after stress depends on the physical and biological half lives of the tracer used. Thallium and sestamibi have different half lives. The effective half life can be calculated. You can ask which tracer is used? If you pump you will be on the safe side.

Pump and dump milk!: Your nuclear medicine specialist should have specified that breast milk needs to be pumped and dumped during this post-procedure period. Best consult with your ob/gyn and pediatrician as well to be on the safe side.
