Sometimes difficult: Wean gradually so your baby continues to feel the closeness or bonding. Changing to a sippy cup rather than an alternate nipple may help. It will take 1-2 weeks to change the process so lots of patience. All the best with this.

Takes time, patience: Babies all over the world getting weaned off the best thing ever are asking their moms "Really? Seriously, Mom?" Im not a La Leche League consultant or a pediatrician, but as a prior breastfeeding mom, I believe nipple choice is critical. Invest in the best orthodontically-appropriate brands. Eons ago, Nuk & Medela were it. Now "peristaltic nipples" w/ wide latch-on base = best. Great job pumping!
