A member asked:

Does drinking a lot of coffee (or caffeine intake) have to do something with your eye health (retina, cornea, etc.)? or are they absolutely unrelated?

Not related: Caffeine intake has neither pro-health or anti- health affects on your eye health. Exceptionally is the occasional lid twitching that can occur with heavy caffeine consumption. This latter condition, called eyelid myokymia, is benign and doesn't affect your eye health. It is also very unusual for caffeine to have clinically significant effect on your eye pressure. So if you tolerate caffeine, enjoy.

Unrelated: Perhaps with the exception of dry eye. Symptoms of dry eye may be exacerbated with high levels of caffeine. This occurs because tear secretion can decline with increased caffeine.
