Brain activity: Eeg measures brain electrical activity by using scalp electrodes. Eeg is more sensitive and gives a better global look at brain function. Typical MRI does not assess brain function. Functional MRI can indirectly measure brain activity also by measuring oxygen delivery to portions of the brain.
