Pneumovax: The most common side effects seen with Pneumovax are injection site reactions (such as redness, pain, warmth, swelling, or a lump). These reactions occur in about 50 percent of people. Severe reactions are unusual and often due to severe inflammatory reactions to the injection (either the materials or the way injected), collections of blood (hematomas), hitting a nerve root, and so on.
