a little: Visine will provide a lubricating coating which can lower the symptoms of eye scratches (abrasions) a little. It will not treat them. If the discomfort or visual disturbance continues for more than 24 hours or the vision is severely disturbed, then see your ophthalmologist.

scratch: If you truly have a scratched eye, you may need to be on a topical antibiotic to help prevent infection. Call your local eye doctor for an appointment.
